You let your feet slowly glide across the clear water's smooth surface, making it ripple and sway as if it was dancing. Laying back you looked at your current surroundings. You were in China, in a the most beautiful open garden you had ever hoped to witness in your mortal life. Its outer circumference consisted of colourful trees, their leaves falling at a steady pace making you feel calmer than ever. Their was a sizable pond in the center of it all with many tropical fish, some stopping to nibble at your feet curiously, but never enough to hurt you their slight nibbling caused you to relax even more.

As you looked up to the clear sky you thought to yourself, "What a beautiful day" as you sighed happily to yourself you didn't notice a certain Hello Kitty lover watching you.

- -

As Yao walked into what he called his "special place" he couldn't help but notice that something was different about the place, not exactly bad different, but different.

"Hmmm, the Feng-Shui's off" Yao thought to himself looking around the garden that he kept so beautifully, his chocolate brown eyes suddenly landed on you splayed out on the grass and splashing your feet contentedly in the pond, "A-aiya, what's a pretty girl like that doing in my garden?" he silently approached you from behind, then bent down and tapped your arm tentatively.

- -

You sprung up from your comfortable position and sprung around, only to come face to face with a boy, about your age, wearing traditional Chinese clothes with flowing, silky black hair pulled back into a ponytail and slung over his shoulder. As his warm, chocolate brown orbs stared into yours you couldn't help but feel slightly light-headed.

"Are you OK? You look like you're about to faint, aru," he said, concern evident in his voice.

"Y-yeah, I'm good," you replied, recovering.

"That's good, aru...how did you find this place?" he silently added to himself I thought this was away from the usual tourist attractions

"Well, you see I got lost on my way to my hotel yesterday and came across this place. Then I somehow found my way to the hotel and discovered that it was quite near it...it's the most beautiful garden I've ever seen, do you own it?" you asked curiously, then a thought dawned on you "Oh gosh, what if he sues me for trespassing?! I don't want to go to jail in China, heck I don't want to go to jail, period!"

"Well, I don't own it but I like to think that I'm a gardener of it and-...Are you feeling alright, aru?" the boy asked seeing the worry evident on your face.

"Just peachy..." you replied nervously, biting your nails.

"Don't do that, aru, it's bad for them," he said, prying your fingers from your mouth.
"That's a sign of nervousness, are you nervous around me or something, aru?" he asked laughing lightly, thinking that thought absurd. He stopped abruptly when he saw the look on your face.

"You're not going to...sue me or anything are you? I mean I'm broke enough already witho-"

"Why would I sue you, aru?" the boy interrupted, utterly confused.

"Oh, never mind. What's your name by the way?" you said trying to steer the subject away from the previous awkward one.

"Oh, I'm Yao. Yao Wang," Yao stated, then looked at you, his eyes asking you the same.

"I'm _______. _______ ______" you replied, feeling more at ease with him now.

Yao flopped down beside you as you relaxed into a more comfortable position and let your feet softly skate the pond again.

"So," Yao started, eager to know more about this endearing foreigner that was, apparently, scared of the authorities, "where are you from?"

"Oh, I'm from (insert country here)," you replied, closing your eyes slightly at the feel of the cool water tickling your feet.

Yao looked at you out of the corner of his eyes, intrigued. "How do you like China so far?" he asked, wanting to hear your melodious voice again.

"It's beautiful, I've only just got here a few days ago but it's honestly the most beautiful country I've visited so far. The culture's beautiful, the food's amazing and the people are really nice, what more could you want?" you said happily. You really were having a great time with Yao, just relaxing and talking to him, you were learning more and more about the feminine looking Chinese boy, and he was learning more about you.

- -

After talking for a few hours you felt like you had known Yao all your life. He really was on of a kind. You looked over at him and grinned and he in turn grinned back, then as you looked behind him and beyond the trees you saw the sun beginning to set overhead.

"Oh wow, look Yao!" you blurted excitedly, pointing towards the sunset.

He chuckled at your childish actions and said, "Come with me, aru, I know a great place to watch it from." Yao lightly grabbed your hand and pulled you up lightly, you blushed at the contact, then began to run towards one of the tallest trees. "He runs with such grace!" you couldn't help but observe. Then you began to cringe as you thought about how you would look to someone in comparison to Yao's majestic strides.

You then fell into Yao's back as he stopped abruptly. "You OK there, aru?" he asked feeling the collision.

"Y-yeah, fine," you mumbled, picking yourself off his back "He has such a snuggly back, I- wait what? Did I really just think that you were amazed at yourself coming up with something so random that you didn't notice Yao walk around to the rear of the tree.

"_______, aru?" he called expectantly.

"Yes, sir?" you teased lightly, walking around to where Yao was. "Wow!" was all you could think, for all the way up the massively tall tree were perfectly carved steps, carved into the tree itself. The steps were leading up to quite a large platform near the top of the tree.

"What do you think, aru?" Yao asked nervously.

"Wow...Did you do this Yao?" you were still in awe of the amazing craftsmanship.

"Yes.." he replied, watching your reaction carefully, "so, would you like to see the sunset now before it passes, aru?"

"Oh! Of course," you felt flustered, you had been so taken in by Yao's brilliant craftsmanship that you had completely forgotten about the sunset.

Yao carefully took your hand before awkwardly walking up the stairs backwards, so as to retain a grip on your hand. He lead you up on to the platform with care, making sure that both your feet were on the wood before setting your hand free and sitting down on the hard wood. You flopped beside him carefully before looking up at the sunset again.

"Oh Yao...." you breathed as you watched the slowly darkening sky, it seemed as if someone had painted it all the colours of the rainbow with the colours meshing together softly. "It's so beautiful..."

"Yeah, it is, aru," he said, his eyes on you all the while ((a/n: I know this is cheesy, forgive me OTL))

You looked over at him blushing when your eyes came into contact with each other. He leaned in slowly and his soft lips met yours for a second, then he pulled back and started apologizing profusely, "Aiya! I'm sorry, aru I didn't-" you cut him off by kissing him.

When you pulled back you grinned at him and chirped, "It's alright, you can make up for it later..if you know what I mean!" you nudged him suggestively as he blushed, but remained quiet.

I don't know why they call it Mikado though, because it's the same as Pocky and is made by the same company...Oh well I'm going to hurt my brain thinking about it too much.
